UHHHH...

I got on here to post my first blog, but now that I am here I am at a total loss of what to write about. It is the Christmas season so, I suppose I should blog about that. We got our first artificial tree! It was a big deal for us because it was becoming a tradition for us to go to the tree farm and search for our perfect tree and the whole nine yards. This year we decided that it just was not practical. Not for us anyway. We usually ended up spending around $60 for a real one that we would throw out after Christmas anyway. We got a 7ft, pre-lit douglas fir for $65! We purchased ours at Wal-Mart, where, surprisingly they had a pretty good selection to choose from. We left the store, and I was still feeling a bit sad, from the loss of our family tradition. When we got it out of the box and set it up, I fell in love with it! It was so simple and easy! The pre-lit was sooo nice! It was covered in lights! There is no watering for me to do, no needles to be swept up! That is a big plus!

This is also the first year that we let the boys help decorate the tree! This was very exciting for them. They did a wonderful job, and they had fun! Of course, most of our ball decorations are plastic!

The tree turned out more beautiful than any other tree we've had i think! So, I do think that we are sold on the artificial tree! Plus, I am so excited that next year we'll be able to get our tree out as early as we want! I have always like the tradition of putting up the tree and decorating on Thanksgiving (or maybe the day after) so, maybe we can replace an old tradition with a new one! Here is a pic of our finished tree!

Another little "tradition" we have done every year is a nice photo in front of our Christmas tree! I usually put them in our Christmas cards. We'll see if i get that far this year! lol! Last years photos were okay...
Christmas 2009

But this years pictures turned out soooo stinkin' cute! At least I think so...

A little more preparation of props and whatnot goes a looong way! lol! I loved the way these turned out!

Eathan also had a little Christmas program at his school! It was the most adorable thing! He looked so sweet! Here's a few pics from that!

On the far left is my other son Evan! He wanted to be a part of the program so bad!
Taking a bow!

He had the sweetest little look when he came to see us afterward!
The gingerbread house that he made with his class!
We've also had some recent snow!!! Well more like ice with a little snow. Eathan had been out school all week for snow and ice. So now his Christmas break turned from a 2 week vacation into a 3 week vacation! He did miss his Christmas pajama party today. :(  We've enjoyed ourselves overall though!

So, December has been pretty fun so far! We're hoping to do a few more things with the boys! Going to see some lights and visiting with Santa.
It was so weird that when I started this blog I had no idea what to talk about, and now I feel like I can't shut up! Hope you enjoyed, and I'll update again soon!!!

P.S. Tell me what you think, and what I could do to improve my blogs!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
