Quick Update, Huge Surprise!!!

On Saturday, January 15th, at 12-something AM, to our surprise, my husband and I discovered that we're expecting baby number 3!!! WOW! While we have always discussed having another (one day) we were not planning to get pregnant right now. God knows the perfect timing for our lives and the events of our lives, and He knows that this is the perfect time for us! I think the initial shock is wearing off now, and more excitement is moving in! We are very happy to welcome this unexpected blessing!
We always tend to try to plan our lives out; when we want to get married, when we'll have our first child, the amount of time you'll wait before you try to have a second, and on and on. I wanted my next baby to be planned... (since both Eathan and Evan were also surprises!) I wanted to be able to tell the family, 'okay, we're going to start trying for a baby!', and then prepare ourselves, maybe wait until we had a larger house. I wanted a Spring baby... Maybe April or March. I certainly didn't want to have a baby in September, which is approximately when baby number 3 is due. We have too much going on in that month. Our anniversary in September 10th, and since my hubby and I haven't done anything really special for our anniversary the past 5 years, we wanted to maybe take a weekend trip somewhere ALONE for our 6th! Then my in-laws anniversary is 5 days after ours, and my husbands birthday is the 22nd. Mind you, that I am totally okay with the plans changing now. There will be more anniversaries! I just thought September is too busy... it just got busier! lol! My estimated due date is actually my husband's birthday (I haven't seen the OB yet so, it could change), and that is really special, and something to look forward to. Although, I usually go into labor early. With Eathan I was a week early and with Evan 12 days early. I have done some calculating, and if this baby is 12 days early it would actually be born on our anniversary... kinda funny how things work out, huh?! Still in all of this I trust in God and in His timing! This is a wonderful blessing! I don't think that anyone in their right mind ever says that they wish they hadn't had their children... many people wish they would've had one more or maybe even a few more. So we are very excited for a new addition! People keep saying maybe it's a girl. I would so love to have a girl, but this is the first time that I can honestly say that it really doesn't matter to me. I am going to be equally as happy with a boy or a girl. I am just praying for a healthy baby! That doesn't mean that it wouldn't be a little extra fun to shop for dresses and bows, but ya know what I mean! ;) I am planning on doing a belly shot for every week. I wish that I would've done it with my previous pregnancies, and am excited to see how my baby bump grows and changes! Of course, as always, I have photos...
First Test... I did what you do and then I set it down and within 30 seconds or so... I got a positive. Then I started to question it. I was like honey come here... Is it or isn't it?! He was like yeah that's positive!

Same test... I studied it for some time. Thought my mind was playing tricks on me!

We told our in-laws Sunday after church. I was like I need to get a good photo of y'all, and Jonathan said, "One, Two, Three, KELLI'S PREGNANT!!!" This is what I captured! I think Raymond was still concentrating on getting his picture taken, but Debbie, now, by that look she definitely understands, lol!

Another test and there was one more digital...

I went to the doctor on Tuesday and had the pregnancy confirmed. I am yet to make an appointment to see the OB yet, but I plan on doing it soon! God Bless you all, and Thanks for reading!

  2. I'm so happy for your family, Kelli! Landry (our 2nd) was born the day after our anniversary, on my husband's aunt's birthday, the day before my Father-in-law's birthday, and the list goes on.
